About Pikemasters

Pikemasters is a Colorado-based group of model railroaders dedicated to building and operating HO scale modules using the Free-mo standard.

Who We Are

Pikemasters brings together model railroad enthusiasts who enjoy realistic operations, module construction, scenery, electronics, photography, and prototype-inspired railroading.

Our members build individual Free-mo modules that can be connected into large operating layouts for club events, operating sessions, and public train shows throughout Colorado and the surrounding region.

What is Free-mo?

Free-mo is a modular HO scale railroad standard that emphasizes realistic trackwork, prototype-inspired operations, and flexible layout design. Unlike traditional modular layouts built around a fixed configuration, Free-mo modules can be arranged in countless ways, creating a different railroad every time the layout is assembled.

The standard encourages broad curves, realistic scenery, and operations-focused design while allowing each member to model the era, railroad, and geographic region that interests them.
